Here is our "little monster" practicing saying "Trick-or-Treat!" before the big day! He didn't want to have anything to do with his costume until he found out candy would be involved; now we can't get him out of it! Brody will be wearing the same costume!

This past weekend the family went to the Rennaisance Festival in Bonner Springs, Kansas. It was so much fun! Blake got to see a live joust-to-the-death, visit the petting zoo, ride an elephant and so much more! He couldn't wait to ride the elephant; we heard about it all day starting at 8:00am when I told him he would get to ride one! While he and Daddy were waiting in line, Blake kept yelling, "Ride the elephant!"...
...he cried when it was time to get off!
Tomorrow is Blake's last day in the 1-year-old classroom! It is so sad! Our little guy is growing up so fast! Monday he will be in the "Orange Room" which is the 2-year-old room, and will be dropped off in the morning with the "big kids!" Blake has been practicing for the transition; he has been sitting on the potty, which they will do every 2 hours (he actually pooped on the potty last weekend!), he is already drinking out of a big boy cup with minimal spills, and he will get to play on the big playground at school. The 2's room also has a more strict curriculum, to include math, science, longer circle time, dramatic play, art, music and movement and tons more! He has also started Happy Feet, a soccer class that he participates in with Coach Andrew every Thursday! Our little guy is turning into such a "big guy" and it's all going by so fast! We are also having an Elmo birthday party for Blake this coming Sunday to celebrate his 2nd birthday, which isn't actually until October 26th, so look for pictures from the party!
